New York State Insurance Department provides update

At the New England chapter of the AICP E-day (www.aicp.net/chapters/newengland.cfm)  held yesterday in Hartford CT, Deborah Kahn, Associate Insurance Attorney at the New York State Insurance Department provided information about approval times. 

Average time for CL6 submissions is approximately 50 days.   This is trending down as the new staff member that they are training is becoming more proficient.  She also indicated that some filings are being handled as quickly as a couple of weeks. 

Deborah also indicated that on full prior approval filings, we can expect to wait about 9 months for a letter.
